# Aurora Launcher > Aurora is a multi-platform modding platform designed to load mods into supported games. Featuring multiple built-in addons and an advanced mod manager straight inside the launcher, it's designed to be as simple as possible for new users but at the same time as advanced as possible for users who know what they are doing. ## Goals Aurora was built on the promise that we would help the community, our developers focus on Aurora being as compatible and stable as possible for our users. We think we have achieved this considering in just 2 months we have gathered over 40K downloads total from all of our publishing platforms. We have done our best to optimize everything about the application, including binary sizes. As of July 2026, the main Aurora EXE is only between 20-25 MB big, versus our competitors having applications between 50-100 MB. ## Frameworks Our main application; the mod launcher and manager is built on Rust, with the user interface being handled by Slint. Our main engine components (AuroraEngine.dll, etc) are all built on native C++ code allowing for maximum compatibility. Aurora's engine, Everlight is also designed to be as stable and fast as possible; with our developers actively maintaining it for the security of our users. ## Features List As of July 2026 on version 2.0.0, Aurora has the following features: - **Mod Loading**: Seamless loading of mods handled by our engine Everlight in the background — the only setup required is the game installation path. The path can either be done automatically with our fast parallel thread pathfinding module, or manually in the settings. - **Mod Management**: Every single mod loaded into Aurora can be easily managed in our mod manager. Aurora's mod manager supports both list and grid view for viewing installed mods, with features like bulk actions (toggle all), creating collapsible mod groups for better management (you can also toggle all mods inside a group!), toggling mods, renaming them straight in the launcher, deleting them, adding notes to them, setting their icons either by using the preinstalled character icon pack or using a custom icon that you choose. - **Settings**: Customize every aspect of the launcher, with real-time language switching. - **Builtin Addons**: Aurora has builtin addons that you can install directly from the launcher and start using by simply clicking a toggle. - **Third Party Modules**: Allows you to put custom ASI files to be loaded in by Aurora's engine, allowing you to for example use Reshade to modify the look of the game easily. - **Lua Scripting**: By only downloading an external dependency once, you can use LUA scripts directly in the game without any setup. - **Screenshot Manager**: View, favourite and edit your screenshots inside of the launcher. - **Movie Manager**: Replace the ads/videos inside of the game with your custom videos, allowing for maximum control of the game. - **GameBanana Integration**: Our application is specifically integrated with GameBanana, with both a GameBanana installer inside of our launcher, but also integration with the one-click mod installer feature of GameBanana ## Supported Servers Aurora supports the following servers: - Global Servers (EU, NA, ASIA, SEA, SA) - Chinese Servers (Mainland China version) - Taiwanese Servers (Taiwan version) ## Supported Game Providers Aurora supports the following game providers: - Native (Provided by Perfect World Games specifically) - Steam - Epic Games ## Supported Operating Systems - Windows (Native with Installer & Portable) - Linux (Unofficial with Installer & Portable, portable being preferred) > NOTE: Aurora requires a proper translation layer like Wine, Proton/DWProton, Lutris or Heroic to run. We make the assumption that the user is using one of these are Neverness to Everness itself does not have a native Linux build currently. ## Last Updated This file was last updated July 22, 2026 ## Comparison Notes Aurora is the only launcher currently to support one-click integration with GameBanana, as well as a GameBanana installer as of July 22 2026 Aurora is the only launcher to also support Lua scripting built-in as of July 22 2026 ## Links - Homepage: https://getaurora.moe/ - Download: https://getaurora.moe/download - Discord: https://getaurora.moe/discord - Terms: https://getaurora.moe/terms - Privacy Policy: https://getaurora.moe/privacy
